Some things in life you cannot change. I couldn’t help but wonder…Why I’m so damn attracted by Brasil??!!
Well I think I’m attracted to contrasts. Black and white, poor and rich, ugly and beautiful… It’s ALL in there! Or let’s think about the great nature over there: the rainforest, the waterfalls of Iguazu, the desert…
Except from that there’s nothing left. Right? Oh damn, I forgot about the samba, carnival in Rio, the statue of Jesus Christ, the capital Brasilia, the hot beaches of Bahía….
And last but not least: the people! If I think about my Brazilian friends I always get a bit nostalgic. They’re easy to have fun with!
I only have one message left: take a plane to Rio and get your own havaïanas (do Brasil)!

Jakwob - Right Beside You feat. Smiler - Official Video (by jakwob)
Once in a lifetime you have to do what I did. If you’re ever down, lost and incomplete.. just book a flight to Spain … maybe a friend of yours is going to say that you can stay at her apartment! And maybe, by coincidence, your friend can’t arrive in time because she has to make an exam and you decide to go anyway because her mother will be there too.
That’s what I did. I packed my bags and went to Spain, all alone. No one to wave me goodbye at the airport. I’m not the kind of person who really NEEDS that. I like to travel “alone” from time to time. In fact, I’m never really alone. Mostly I meet some nice people on my way.
The airport seemed very calm when I arrived. I had lots of time to do my check-in so I wandered a bit around. After some very long hours of waiting I could go to the gate. I was so excited to go to Spain again. My lovely country, always feels like coming home. I didn’t feel home anymore, because I forgot my pin code of my cell phone. I was a bit upset about it and went to the first “Movistar” shop I saw to buy a new cellphone. At plaza de Catalunya there were heaps of people…
I found quickly my way to the youth hostel I stayed in. The receptionist was in a bad mood because the elevator had broken down. I had to carry my luggage all alone on the stairs… I was lucky, because my room mates were Argentinian and very nice people. I could even try their “maté” (a South-American infusion). I got really close with Yamila, a girl from my age and very friendly. We went for a couple of drinks at my first night in Spain. The next morning they invited me to have a walk through the city centre. I couln’t refuse that offer, since they were good company. At noon we waved each other goodbye, thinking I was never going to see them again.
After that I had some time to eat, to rest, to discover what the city had to offer. I was alone for two hours. As I was tired, I chilled out at Plaza de Catalunya. I asked a Spanish girl to take a picture of me. I was also in need of some advice about any good restaurants. Suddenly we started talking about heaps of things… We felt that we got along well and exchanged numbers.
About 7.30 pm, my train to Tarragon arrived, where my new mother was waiting for me. My friend confirmed me that on my voicemail. I was so excited to hear her voice again, we hadn’t seen each other for one year! When I arrived at the apartment nobody opened the door… Had they forgotten about me? I didn’t hope so…
Carrie was sitting in her room, crying her heart out. She was aching, aching from love. She could not believe why he had just dumped her. It all seemed so unreal and unfair.
Her face was wet from all the tears. This guy was so special, but sometimes such an asshole. Dumping someone like Carrie, was the biggest mistake he ever made in his whole life…

I think I’m paranoid, and complicated. I think I’m paranoid. Manipulated.
This is my fav song of my favourite band ever: GARBAGE!
It’s been quite a while I heard them live… Saw their show at the Werchter festival way back in 2005. That’s six years ago! It was a wonderful show! I’m a huge fan of then since I was 13. Also pretty excited to hear their new album! For sure I’m gonna buy it! Missed them so much on air! Love.
Hey!
Just heard Anouk’s new single “Killer Bee”. They’ve been playing it on the radio for about a month or two I guess, so it’s not quite new anymore.
It’s just the kind of song that gives me energy and power to hold on. It’s just so smooth and perfect to make your day. Just to be clear, Anouk is a Dutch blonde female singer with a powerful voice.
Another song that makes me happy is “You are a tourist” from Death Cab For Cutie. You know I even regret I didn’t see them five years ago on the Werchter festival in Belgium.
I didn’t see them, but I saw the Deftones, Tool, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Black Eyed Peas… in one night! I wonder which band I haven’t seen yet..;
I’m ready to rock this tumblr, I’m your killer bee!
